I am always up for a dreamy, romantic, lighter-than-air, outdoor maternity session. This summer has been amazingly rich in stunning sessions, full of soul and connection, I feel totally blessed and humbled to be photographing all my wonderful mamas this year.

When I met Samantha and Chad, we immediately hit it off and the session felt like “a walk in the park” – fun, easy going and comfortable. We managed to have three changes of outfits. Sam started out in her gorgeous vintage (third generation y’all!) cream jeweled gown that her great grandmother wore for her maternity pictures. Can you believe it? I would have never guessed! It looked so amazing and well kept. We started off in the tall grassy area of the park, in the back, where the sun light was filtering through the tree line just perfect, and eventually worked our way back to the main area and the waterfall. The dusty purple dress is actually one of my newest dresses, it is from lulus.com – and it’s quickly becoming my new favorite dress, maternity or not! Bring on the color! I actually plan on wearing it for my own family photos we are doing at the end of the month. I think Sam wore that dress very well, and the color looked so beautiful on her!

I so enjoyed walking around the park with them, following the light, catching little romantic moments, documenting this wonderful new exciting chapter in their lives. You can tell just how much baby boy is loved already. I can’t wait to meet him in November for some lovely organic lifestyle newborn pictures!
